For Motion mobility scooters

Electric mopeds and motorcycles

These are mopeds and motorcycles, a different class of vehicle from a mobility scooter. In Britain they must be registered with DVLA, taxed and insured; the rider needs the right licence category and a helmet; and they belong on the carriageway, never on a pavement or in a pedestrian area. Look here if you want distance and speed, and at our mobility scooters if you want a seat with armrests and pavement access.

What to know before you choose

The facts that apply to every model on this page.

The class of the machine decides the rules. Every model is supplied limited to 8 mph, the ceiling UK law puts on a mobility scooter; where it also meets the other class 3 limits (one seat, no wider than 0.85 m, no heavier than 150 kg unladen) it is registered with the DVLA as a class 3 machine. The faster setting is for private land only, and we confirm the class for your model in writing before you buy.
14 days to cancel after delivery and a two-year For Motion warranty alongside your statutory rights. For Motion designs its models and imports them; every machine is assembled and checked in our own workshop in Heerde, the Netherlands, where servicing and repairs happen too, or as agreed in your quote.
No test drive in the United Kingdom: we have no dealers there yet. You get a written quote for the model you name, a callback and straight answers on the phone, and then you decide.
Who pays: you do. The quote states the full price, what it includes and the VAT treatment. There is no NHS route and we are not an accredited Motability supplier; VAT zero rating applies only to a qualifying machine with a signed eligibility declaration.
