For Motion mobility scooters
Buying guide

Eight questions about your day. One mobility scooter that fits it.

No questions about wheels or watts. We ask what you want to be able to do again, how far, how often and where the machine has to stand. The result is a model with the reasons beside it; every figure comes from the model's own specification. Which UK class it can be supplied and registered in, we tell you with it.

Your day

Question 1 of 8

What would you most like to do for yourself again?

Choose whichever is closest; we ask about the rest next.

What this is really about

Your key to doing things yourself

Deciding for yourself when you set off and how long you stay out. That is what a mobility scooter gives back; the rest is engineering.

Work out the figure before you decide

Ask for a written quote on the result: the full price, the UK class and the delivery options, within one working day.

Assembled and serviced in Heerde

What the law says

The class comes with the model — and it decides where you may ride.

Which rules apply to you depends entirely on the machine: a class 2 scooter is incapable of exceeding 4 mph and belongs on the pavement; a class 3 scooter is incapable of exceeding 8 mph, seats one person, is no wider than 0.85 m and no heavier than 150 kg unladen, must be registered with the DVLA and may be ridden from the age of 14; anything faster, wider or heavier is not a mobility scooter at all but a motor vehicle, needing registration, a driving licence and, in most cases, insurance.
So the answer the guide gives you is only half the story until you know where you want to ride. Pavements and pedestrian areas mean a class 2 or a class 3 machine held to 4 mph by its limiter; the road means a class 3 machine registered with the DVLA. We supply limited to 8 mph for UK road use and offer the faster configuration for private land only.
