My scooter will not charge. Is the battery dead?

Usually not. In most cases it is the charger or the charging socket. Send us a photo of the display and the charger on WhatsApp and we will narrow it down before you buy anything.

What does a repair cost?

It depends on the fault. You get an estimate before we start; without your agreement we replace nothing.

Will you come out to me in the United Kingdom?

We have no mobile engineer for the United Kingdom. We try remote diagnosis first and then discuss how the machine gets to us.

How long does a repair take?

If the part is in stock, often one or two days. If it has to be ordered we tell you the date beforehand.

Do you repair other makes?

We know our own models best. Ring us and tell us what you have, and we will say honestly whether we can help.

Is the fault covered?

If the goods were not of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose or as described when they were sold to you, the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you a remedy: a 30-day short-term right to reject, then repair or replacement, and within the first six months the seller must prove the item was not faulty at sale. Wear, and damage from falls or wrong charging, are not covered.

Will I get a replacement machine?

We cannot promise that as a rule. Ask when you report the repair and we will tell you what is possible.

Where do I find the frame number?

On the plate on the frame, usually under the seat or on the steering column, and in the machine's paperwork. Just send a photo with your message.

What usually breaks

And what it usually turns out to be.

"It will not charge" is in most cases the charger or the charging socket, not the battery. "It will not move off" is often the freewheel lever or the parking brake setting. "It has got slower" is usually tyre pressure first and battery capacity second.

So on the phone we ask about the display, the charger and the tyre pressure, in that order. It often saves you the whole journey.

Wearing parts such as tyres, brake pads and bulbs are not a quality fault unless there is a manufacturing defect.
