The Dike is the best-equipped enclosed model: air conditioning, heating, a sunroof, a reversing camera and the largest battery in its class. A round steering wheel with accelerator and brake pedals — anyone who has driven a car feels at home. In Britain it is a private-land machine.

Getting in and sitting
The door opens wide and the seat slides back, so getting in works even with stiff hips. The backrest adjusts smoothly and the trim is perforated synthetic leather. Optional: a swivel function for sideways entry and a 5 or 10 cm seat riser.
Who it suits (and who it doesn't)
A good fit if you have private ground, want to travel dry, warm or cool all year, regularly take someone with you, and have room for a vehicle of 235 × 110 cm.
Look at another model if you need the public road or the pavement: choose a single-seat machine supplied at 8 mph, such as the On Four. If you can do without air conditioning, the Brik is considerably cheaper.
Riding this in the UK
The Dike is outside every UK mobility-scooter class: the law defines an invalid carriage as a vehicle built to carry one person and this seats three, it is 1.10 m wide against a 0.85 m limit, and it is far above the 150 kg unladen ceiling. So in Britain it is for private land only, with the owner's permission, and never the public highway or the footway. Our rules page explains the classes.
Standard equipment and options
On board as standard: the reversing camera, MP3 and Bluetooth, a USB charger, central locking, a windscreen wiper, folding mirrors and footrests. The configurator above lists every option and what each one adds. Seating: a comfort seat, plain, swivelling, heated, or swivelling and heated; adjustable seat heating on its own; a 5 or 10 cm seat riser for a higher, easier entry. Controls for a disability: a steering knob for one-handed steering, a foot throttle on the left or right, the brake pedal moved from the centre to the right or left, and a thumb throttle left or right. Battery and charging: the larger battery pack for the longest range, a second 20 A charger that halves the charging time, and an adapter for a charging point. Practical and security: a walker holder at the rear, a phone holder with or without a 12 V USB socket, a tracking transmitter, and spare tyres with or without rims. The speed group offers the 15.5 and 28 mph builds; both are for private land only in Britain, as explained above. Price, delivery and your rights
