Figures as For Motion states them; range depends on the battery pack, the weight carried and how you ride. UK road eligibility depends on the model and its approved configuration. A speed limit of 8 mph alone does not make a vehicle eligible. Confirm the intended use in your quote and see the rules page.

Trion
Trion Apple candy redSpecifications
Product description
The Trion has the look of a moped with three wheels underneath: a bench seat, handlebars, 12-inch sports rims and two rear wheels that keep it steady on grass, a forest track or a kerb. In Britain it is a private-land machine.

How it rides
The throttle is easy to meter out: walking pace beside someone on foot, or a brisk run across open ground. The wide rear tyres and long wheelbase keep it flat through bends where a narrow three-wheeler gets restless. Larger battery packs are available on request and we quote the range for each.
Who it suits (and who it doesn't)
A good fit if you have private ground, like to ride briskly and would rather sit on a bench than in an armchair.
Look at another model if swinging a leg over a bench is hard, or if you need the public road and the pavement. For those, choose a single-seat machine supplied at 8 mph — the Forto has a swivel seat and armrests, the On Four is the narrowest at 68 cm.
Riding this in the UK
UK law defines a mobility scooter — an invalid carriage — as a vehicle constructed or adapted to carry one person. The Trion's bench seats two, so it cannot be a Class 2 or Class 3 machine here, at any setting. In Britain it is for private land only, with the owner's permission, and not the public highway or the footway; a retail-park car park counts as public. Our rules page sets out the classes.
Options
The configurator above lists every option for the Trion and what each one adds. Speed: the group runs from a 5 mph limitation up to 28 mph, but because the Trion's bench seats two no setting makes it a UK mobility scooter — every build is for private land only here, as explained above. Battery and charging: an extra 72 V battery of 27 Ah or 73 Ah for more range, both removable as standard, and a 20 A charger or the 10 A and 20 A pair in place of the standard 10 A unit. Seating and controls for a disability: a comfort seat, plain or swivelling; a foot throttle; a thumb throttle left, right or both; the throttle moved to the left; all handlebar switches on one side; swapped brake levers or a foot brake right or left. Practical: the XL case, a front basket, a stick holder, a tall clear windscreen, heated grips, a hand muff set or heated gloves, a leg cover, covers for the scooter and the windscreen, a 12 V connection, a phone holder with or without 12 V USB, a 230 V socket, a bicycle-trailer hitch and a tow bar with or without trailer lighting. Security: an alarm with remote control, an ART 3 or ART 4 chain lock, an ART4 wall anchor, a GPS tracker or a tracking transmitter. Maintenance packages and multi-year service contracts are listed too; for a United Kingdom address, ask us in the quote what servicing we can offer before you choose one.
